Architecturally, the site stands as both a testament to past industrial activity and a symbol of renewal, shaped by the need to address contemporary issues such as flexibility and environmental challenges.
Behind its understated façade, this vast complex unfolds like a lively internal street, punctuated by contrasting volumes, shared spaces, and pockets of greenery.
This space was designed to accommodate new ways of working, where heritage and innovation engage in a dialogue through a contemporary design language. The unique character of QG 206 Lafayette earned it the 2024 Équerre d’Argent award in the "Workplaces" category.
Our role in this project involved translating the architectural vision and showcasing the planned interiors through photorealistic 3D renderings, helping people visualize the space and discover the "Lafayette experience."

The main challenge lay in revealing the building’s history while suggesting its reinvention. The images thus stage a dialogue between industrial facades and contemporary interventions, between the mineral and the organic, in a composition that opens the site up to the future. This approach naturally aligns with the philosophy of the project and its architects: doing more with what already exists, prioritizing restructuring, and grounding every choice in responsible, sustainable design.... but also: anticipating the future of office space usage.
For the interiors, the goal was to envision a new "art of working"—one adapted to urban rhythms and modern practices. The renderings showcase modular, flexible spaces designed to evolve with changing needs and foster the kind of collective synergy that drives innovation and creativity. In these images, light, materiality, and circulation paths embody a clear vision: a "third place" conceived as a living, inclusive, and sustainable ecosystem.
